Dorchester Community Church

The Dorchester Community Church have relocated from their existing church in Dorchester to a newly constructed building in the heart of Poundbury.

We were commissioned to design the internal fit-out of the church and as part of a design team, oversee the construction of the building through to completion at end of the last month. The new church building provides a 200-seat multifunction worship space, a café and several meeting rooms that are formed with flexible partitioning to cater for a wide variety of uses. The church will form a community hub for the residents of Poundbury and continue to serve the wider Dorchester area. The previous church was located on Acland Road and in act of fond remembrance the new worship space will be named the Acland Hall. The Main Contractor, Hart Design and Construction did a fantastic job of completing the projects within a very tight timeframe to ensure the church could relocate to their new building on programme.
